Verona Little Rome

Verona is proud of its Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, both still used for performances!

The ancient forum is still the heart of the city, the Roman gate is still the main entrance on the decumanus. Walking in the centre you can see and touch mosaics, arches, streets, tombs and original Roman statues. You can also discover the old town in the underground of shops and restaurants, you can visit two archaeological museums, not only for lovers of archeology! In Verona it is easy to imagine how the ancient Romans spent their time and what their traditions were like. After Rome and Pompei, Verona is the city with the largest number of vestiges of the Roman time.
